Very simply Start the saw and set the 'T' just so the chain is turning. Smoothly run the 'L' in and out to get the best chain speed. Readjust the chain speed with the 'T' and reset the best 'L' Back the 'T' out till the chain stops creeping,,,,,and a tad more. The 645 is Solo's "mid level" saw. It is a way better saw than the normal box store junk, but not quite on par with the pro saws from stihl/husky. Just use good quality synthetic oil and premium non-ethanol gasoline, combined with an enriched carb setting, and your saws will last a very long time.
