So I finally spun up some loops of the Forester chain I bought a few months ago. What I have is 100' of .325 x .063 in semi chisel non safety style. I spun up an 18" loop and made about 100 cuts on stuff that averaged about 5". I was pleased with how it cut. Made good chips and self fed well.Do that a few times and yes, you'll have to lean hard on the saw to get it to cut, and your chain will be smoking. By the way, you should NEVER lean on the saw like that. Good way to get hurt badly. I ran R50 for two years without any real issues, it's great stuff. Right now I'm trying out K2 and so far so good. K2 and R50 are both full Ester syn oils. 927 is a castor syn blend, similar to Klotz Super Techniplate.A Jonsered 2159 has a 20" max recommendation. A few saws from Husqvarna fit that scenario, 460 Rancher, 555, 565 are the ones that come to mind. Priced lower than the "XP" variants but have the same hard parts like cases cranks and cylinders, these saw were built to work and last. Two screws to remove the deflector and spark arrestor screen and pulled the baffle tube out of the muffler. I also removed the stock exhaust deflector and replaced it with the one from a Shindaiwa 400 (Echo/Shindaiwa part # A313001460).Hard to know for sure what you've got there without more info or a pic. But an 034 should have 3/8" chain. So as long as it's not square ground (not common) you'd need a 7/32" round file. And as the cutter shortens in length, 13/64 and finally 3/16. A 60cc saw is a good one saw plan for most users, a 50cc is not.
